Red Hawk Resort & Casino in California has announced a broad property upgrade that will add new gaming space, introduce a dedicated bingo venue, and shift its main casino floor to a smoke-free environment.
The company said the project is part of a longer-term plan to improve the guest experience, make operations more efficient, and create room for additional entertainment offerings in the future.
According to President and CEO Bryan deLugo, one of the most important outcomes of the project will be the property's move toward a non-smoking main casino. He said this change would make Red Hawk the only casino in its regional market with that positioning.
A newly built gaming pavilion will house smoking slots and table games, separating those activities from the main casino floor and core guest areas. The company said the goal is to provide a cleaner and healthier setting for both visitors and employees.

Under the plan, smoking-related gaming will be transferred to the new pavilion, while the primary casino floor will become smoke-free. Management said the change reflects evolving customer expectations and a stronger emphasis on wellness, comfort, and community standards.
DeLugo added that providing a healthier environment for staff, guests, and the surrounding community was a key factor in evaluating the property's future direction.

The expansion also includes a new 4,600-square-foot bingo hall on the lower level of the property. The venue is expected to accommodate as many as 400 people and will also be used for events and private functions.
Construction on the bingo hall is already underway, with an opening planned for September. The new gaming pavilion is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027.
