Nick Rigby is building a reputation that goes far beyond his well-known table image. On Thursday, he won two RunGood Poker Series rings in the same day, marking the second time this year he has achieved that feat.
The Pittsburgh player has been one of the most in-form competitors on the circuit in 2026. After another deep run earlier in the week ended with a runner-up finish, he returned to close out two events on the same day and further strengthen his season résumé.
Another big day for Rigby
Rigby had already shown this kind of momentum earlier in the year, when he collected three RGPS rings within a 24-hour stretch in March. This week in Florida, he nearly produced another remarkable multi-title run, ultimately turning it into two victories and one second-place finish across a short span.
His first win on Thursday came in the $400 PokerNews PowerStack, a no-limit hold'em event that drew 96 entries and generated a $50,000 prize pool. Rigby defeated Nancy Birnbaum heads-up to secure the title and the top prize of $14,743.

He did not stop there. After winning the PokerNews event, Rigby entered the $300 One-Day No-Limit Hold'em Ring Event and captured that tournament as well, adding another ring and $3,512 in prize money.
The latest results push him to 10 RGPS rings, in addition to the WSOP Circuit ring he won online in 2024. His live cashes for 2026 have now climbed past $200,000.
Momentum ahead of the summer
Rigby recently also appeared in the $25,000 National Heads-Up Poker Championship at PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, with that event scheduled to air later this year on Peacock.
Looking ahead, he is expected to play multiple bracelet events during the summer WSOP. Given his current form, he may also attract attention as a value pick in the upcoming 25k WSOP Fantasy Draft before the 2026 World Series of Poker begins in Las Vegas.
